What does your agency do?

At our new location, HOPE, we  provide FREE pregnancy testing, limited OB ultrasounds, education regarding pregnancy, parenting, adoption, and dangers of abortion. We also provide abortion recovery small groups and are starting miscarriage recovery small groups in 2016. We also go into schools and local youth groups with a safe dating program, Duct Tape and Dating. Click here for more details

How long does the test take?

The time needed for our procedure is about one hour.

Are your records confidential?
Will you tell my parents?

All records are confidential.

Do I need to bring a urine specimen?

No, we can only do a test on specimens obtained in our office.

Can you tell me where I can get an abortion?

This is an important decision, and you should have all the facts about abortion before you make that choice.  Our center offers information about abortion and other help for pregnant women.  Our center does not perform abortions nor refer for them.  We are not a medical facility.

Do you have a home where I can stay?

Please feel free to come by our office and speak with one of our client advocates or call our office during regular office hours. We will be glad to speak with you about safe options. If you are in danger, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY.

Do I have to give my real name?

Your name will be kept confidential, but if you don’t want to give it, you don’t have to.  Be sure to remember what name you use, so we can look up your file if you come back into our office.

I am (or my friend is) pregnant, and I have no job or support.
Can you help?

Our Earn While You Learn program has a wonderful section on Life Skills. We may also be able to refer you to Christian Women’s Job Corps.

Are you pro-life?

We give women free pregnancy testing and information about prenatal development and abortion to help her make the best choice for her and her baby.  We do not perform abortions nor refer for them.

How can I tell if I’m pregnant?

Some of the symptoms are:  missed period, tender breasts, morning sickness, fatigue, frequent urination.  The only way you can tell for certain, however, is to have a pregnancy test.  Since a non-medical volunteer administers the pregnancy test, you will need to have a follow-up confirmation by a physician, but your counselor will explain that when you come in.

I only “spotted” this month.  Could I be pregnant?

We would be glad to do a free pregnancy test as long as the “spotting” was at least one month ago.

How soon can you tell if you are pregnant?

Our tests are 99.7% accurate 10 days after conception.  Have you missed a period?  If you have had sex in the last 10 days, the test may be less accurate, but we will be glad to do free testing. We do not test until 30 days after the first day of your last period.

Do you test for STDs or AIDS?

No, we refer anyone in need of STD or HIV testing to our local health department.

Do you accept calls about a client?

We are a confidential ministry and give no information over the phone. You will have to come into our office to talk with the director regarding your personal information. You will be required to show a picture ID.

Do you offer birth control?

No, we do not give birth control and do not recommend it for single women.  We are not a medical facility, and you need to talk to your doctor regarding side effects of birth control methods.  Remember that birth control does not prevent HIV or STDs.

How much do you charge for a test?

All our services are free.

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are accepted during our normal office hours for pregnancy testing, but appointments are encouraged, enabling us to better serve you.

Appointments are needed for limited OB ultrasounds* (Coming Soon!) and Earn While You Learn classes.

What is “Baby Basics”?

This new program offers expecting parents the opportunity to earn Mommy and Daddy Bucks to be used to “purchase” the baby items that they need from our Baby Boutique.
